Approval to several new Railway projects, trains, halts to benefit Porbandar, Rajkot and Junagadh

Gandhinagar: Railway facilities in Porbandar, Rajkot and Junagadh in Saurashtra region of Gujarat will witness several improvements thanks to the efforts made by the Lok Sabha member from Porbandar and union minister Dr. Mansukh Mandaviya.

According to the details of the newly approved projects announced by Union Minister  Ashwini Vaishnav and Union Minister Mansukhbhai Mandaviya ,  two new train services between Porbandar and Rajkot via Vansjalia and Jetalsar are approved. One of these trains will run daily and the other train will run five days a week.

Moreover several trains have been given stoppages at new stations:

o Train numbers 11463/64, 11465/66, 19251/52, and 19319/20 will stop at Nawagadh station.

o Train numbers 12945/46 and 19203/04 will get stoppage at Jetpur station.

o Train number 59557/60 has been given stoppage at Ranavav station.

o Train number 59557/60 will also stop at Khodiyar Mandir station.

In response to the decades old demand by locals, the Final Location Survey (FLS) for the new railway line between Saradia and Vansjalia has been approved. A new coach maintenance hub will be constructed at Ranavav station at an estimated cost of Rs. 135.64 crore.

The feasibility of constructing a new road over bridge at Level Crossing No. 3 near Bhadrakali Gate in Porbandar city has been examined and its General Arrangement Drawing (GAD) is being prepared. A proposal has also been made for the construction of an underpass near Nawagarh railway station. These details were shared in a press release today. DeshGujarat
