Railway Minister to flag off Bhavnagar – Ayodhya Express train on August 3

Bhavnagar: The Western Railway is set to launch a new direct train service connecting Bhavnagar in Gujarat to Ayodhya, the birthplace of Lord Ram, this Sunday. According to officials, Union Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw will flag off the inaugural Bhavnagar–Ayodhya Cantt train from Bhavnagar station.
As per details shared by the Bhavnagar railway division, the train will depart from Bhavnagar every Monday at 1:50 pm and reach Ayodhya on Tuesday evening at 6:30 pm. On its return journey, the train will depart from Ayodhya the same day (Tuesday) at 10:45 pm and arrive back in Bhavnagar early Thursday morning at 4:45 am.
This weekly train will have scheduled halts at several key stations along the route, including Bhavnagar Para, Shihor, Dhola, Botad, Limbdi, Surendranagar Gate, Viramgam, Mehsana, Palanpur, Abu Road, Falna, Marwar, Beawar, Ajmer, Kishangarh, Jaipur, Bandikui, Bharatpur, Idgah, Tundla, Kanpur, Lucknow, and Barabanki.
The new service reflects the central government’s focus on improving rail connectivity to prominent religious destinations across the country. This particular route will link the regions of Gohilwad and Zhalawad in Gujarat directly with Ayodhya in Uttar Pradesh. DeshGujarat
