IMD forecasts heavy rains in these parts of Gujarat from July 25; orange alert on 27th, 28th

Surat: The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD), in its latest bulletin, has forecast heavy to very heavy rain in some parts of Gujarat starting tomorrow, July 25th.

As per the bulletin, heavy rain is likely in Narmada, Dang, Tapi, Navsari, Valsad, and in the Union Territories of Daman and Dadra & Nagar Haveli on July 25th.

On July 26th, the heavy downpour will lash parts of Dahod, Chhota Udepur, Narmada, Bharuch, Surat, Dang, Tapi, Navsari, Valsad, Daman, Dadra & Nagar Haveli, Amreli, and Bhavnagar.

After that, the rain is likely to intensify over Aravalli, Dahod, and Chhota Udepur, for which the IMD has issued an orange alert in these districts. Furthermore, Barrih Kutch, Morbi, Dwarka, Porbandar, Junagadh, and Gir Somnath, along with other regions of Gujarat, may also witness heavy rains on July 27th.

On July 28th, the orange alert is in place for Banaskantha, Sabarkantha, and Mehsana, while Kutch, Central Gujarat, and South Gujarat are also expected to receive heavy rain. The only places that might see only light to moderate rain are Bhavnagar, Amreli, Somnath, Junagadh, Dwarka, Porbandar, and Jamnagar.

On July 29th, heavy rains are very likely at isolated places in the districts of Gujarat region, namely Banaskantha, Patan, Mehsana, Sabarkantha, Navsari, Valsad, and in Daman and Dadra & Nagar Haveli; and in Saurashtra-Kutch region, namely Kutch.

And on July 30th, only light rain is expected across the state.
