Surat – Sharjah Air India Express flight service to remain suspended from July 1 to 15
June 21, 2025
Surat: Passengers planning to fly to Sharjah from the city will face temporary disruption, as Air India Express will suspend its Sharjah-Surat-Sharjah flight service from July 1 to July 15. Furthermore, the service, which usually operates thrice a week, will operate only once a week, on Mondays, until June 30.
The cancellation is reportedly due to restricted airspace caused by ongoing political tensions in the Middle East, as well as an ongoing investigation following the recent incident in Ahmedabad, which has led to a reduction in overall flight operations. Bookings for this route are currently unavailable on the airline’s website.
It is learnt that this flight has already faced sporadic cancellations in recent days. Airline officials have advised passengers to check for updates and reschedule travel accordingly.
The Sharjah-Surat route has been a vital connection for the large Gujarati diaspora in the UAE. The temporary suspension is expected to inconvenience many international travellers. DeshGujarat
