5 workers die of suffocation while cleaning company tank in Kutch

Kutch: Five workers in their 30s died from asphyxiation while cleaning a sludge tank at Emami Agrotech early this morning.
Kutch (East) Superintendent of Police Sagar Bagmar stated that the incident occurred around 1 am during the cleaning of the company’s effluent treatment plant. A worker entered the tank to remove sludge and lost consciousness. When two other workers tried to rescue him, they also collapsed. Two more workers followed suit, resulting in all five fatalities.
An accidental death case has been filed at Kandla police station, and an investigation is ongoing. Emami Agrotech is a company that produces edible oil and biodiesel, and the victims have been identified as Sidharth Tiwari, Ajmat Khan, Ashish Gupta, Ashish Kumar, and Sanjay Thakur.
