QR Codes for digital tax payments in all 61 gram panchayats of Patan
August 02, 2023
Patan: Taluka Panchayat of Patan has allotted QR codes to all 61 gram panchayats in Patan Taluka to facilitate digital tax payments.
Out of the 61 gram panchayats, only 15 to 17 previously had QR codes, and 46 relied on cash payments. As a result, the Patan taluka panchayat could only receive only 50 to 60 percent of the taxes through digital means. However, the Patan Taluka Panchayat has now allocated QR codes to the remaining 46 gram panchayats as part of the Digital India initiative to enable digital tax payment.
The primary objective is to simplify the tax payment process for villagers who reside outside their villages for business and other purposes. Such individuals will be able to conveniently pay taxes digitally through the provided QR codes. DeshGujarat
