SUMUL Dairy to get new name after seven decades

Surat: After seven decades, SUMUL Dairy will get a new name. The new name will be Surat-Tapi District Co-operative Milk Producers Union.
Members have approved the new name at the AGM (Annual General Meeting) held at the Bajipura plant of SUMUL and the resolution will now be communicated to the registrar of Surat district.
Addressing the 71st AGM, Union’s president Mansinh Patel informed that the state government has gifted an organic lab to SUMUL as a result of the first cooperative convention that was held in the presence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and first cooperation minister Amit Shah. For setting up this lab, the state government has approved an aid of Rs 16 crore. DeshGujarat
