The wall in Morbi salt company that collapsed in killed 12 was constructed poorly; 6 arrested

Morbi: The police nabbed 6 accused partners and managers of the salt factory of Halvad GIDC in the case of death of 12 labourers due to the collapse of a wall in the factory.
The accused partners and managers of Sagar Chem and Food Salt in Halvad GIDC had allegedly built a high wall without filling the base and beam columns. They allegedly stacked the salt sacks higher than the wall’s height besides the wall despite knowing that the wall was weak, which led to the collapse of the wall. It resulted in the death of 12 labourers working at the factory.
The six accused managers and partners nabbed by the police are: Afzal alias Jivo Alarakha Ghoniya (age 26), Varish alias Devo Alarakha Ghoniya (age 31), Atmaram Kishanram Chaudhari (age 32), Sanjay Chunilal Ashara (age 48), Manu alias Manoj Revabhai Chhanura (age 43), Ashik Nurmahmad Sodha. All of them are residents of Halvad.
The police have filed a crime against 8 accused including 3 partners, 2 managers, 3 supervisors and those whose names are revealed in investigation. The crime is filed for deliberate negligence causing risk to human life and employing child labourers under IPC section 304, 308, 114, and section 33 and 14 of Child and Adolescent Labour (Prohibition and Regulation) Act. The complaint was filed by Rajesh alias Lakhu Rameshbhai Pirana, an eye witness who lost his father and sister in the incident. DeshGujarat
