My defeat is also caused by a ‘conspiracy’: Alpesh Thakor
October 24, 2019
Radhanpur: Alpesh Thakor, who has lost his Radhanpur assembly seat, during counting of 6 by-polls in Gujarat today claimed that his loss was due to conspiracy certain forces.
Last time MLA of Radhanpur Thakor, who had dramatically left Congress earlier this year to join BJP in even more dramatic manner, said that those people whom he had always helped had gone against him due to temptation of money and taking in to consideration things like caste.
‘Other forces also tempted poor people with money to ensure my defeat,’ he said.
Alpesh, a controversial figure, who was also alleged of spreading violence against non-Gujarati community last year, however thanked his own community and the outfit Khastriya Thakor Sena which he led for the support owing to which he could get around 62 thousand votes despite defeat.
He said that it was unfortunate that many of those people, the poor ones, for whom he always stood and fought for, did not stand by him.
Thakor said that he would not keep quiet and would give a befitting reply to the caste-based-forces and others who have betrayed him.
Alpesh has been defeated by his nearest rival Raghu Desai of Congress.
