Theater owners body decides not to release films with Pakistani actors

Mumbai: Cine Exhibitors body here has taken a decision not to release films with Pakistani actors. Karan Johar film Ae Dil Hai Mushkil will not be released by exhibitors therefore by single screen theaters. Johar’s film has Pakistani actor Fawad Khan as hero.
Cinema Owners Association head Nitin Datar today said: We have decided that we will not screen films with Pakistani actors.
Cinema Owners Association decision will impact only single screen theaters in four states across Western India.
For multiplexes, there’s separate owners body and it has yet not decided about whether to release or block the films with Pakistani actors.
Another soon-to-release film with Pakistani actress in it is Shah Rukh Khan starer Raees. Shah Rukh plays role of Muslim bootlegger and criminal Abdul Lateef of Ahmedabad. Actress in this film is Pakistani.
