AMC plans to sell seven more plots in Ahmedabad worth ₹447 crore

Ahmedabad: The Amdavad Municipal Corporation (AMC) is set to auction seven prime plots located in Bodakdev, Ambli, Chandkheda, Gota, and Sola, with a total base price of Rs 447 crore. The proposal is scheduled to be presented to the AMC standing committee on Thursday for approval.
Of these seven plots, three are designated for residential use and four for commercial purposes. The standout among them is a residential plot in Bodakdev (TP 50), priced at Rs 3.10 lakh per sq m, making it the most expensive of the lot.

Notably, two of these plots were earlier allocated to government bodies, but the deals fell through due to disagreements over pricing. Furthermore, this marks AMC’s third major auction push in 12 months. In August 2024, AMC announced the sale of 13 plots worth Rs 1,156.09 crore, following a March 2024 auction of 22 plots. That sale saw six plots fetch Rs 174 crore, while one plot in Chandkheda was sold to Lulu International Shopping Malls Pvt. Ltd. for Rs 519 crore.
However, several auctions were previously scrapped due to single-bidder situations, including high-value plots in Shilaj, Bodakdev, and Motera. AMC officials expect strong participation this time, given the prime locations and commercial potential of the properties. DeshGujarat
