Ahmedabad – Gandhinagar Metro Hits Record Ridership with 44 Lakh Passengers in July 2025

Gandhinagar: The Gujarat Metro Rail Corporation (GMRC), which operates the metro rail service in Ahmedabad, has hit a new high in passenger numbers. In July 2025, GMRC recorded its highest monthly ridership with 44.04 lakh commuters traveling on the Ahmedabad-Gandhinagar route, according to official records. This figure surpassed the previous record of 40.21 lakh set in January 2025.
Additionally, revenue collections for July 2025 reached over Rs 5.22 crore, marking the highest amount recorded between January 2023 and July 2025, according to GMRC data.
The statistics indicate consistent year-on-year growth in ridership, with passenger trips rising from 12.09 lakh in January 2023 to more than 44 lakh in July 2025. DeshGujarat
