GIFT City, GTU ink MoU to boost fintech education and research; to set up centre of excellence

Gandhinagar: Gujarat International Finance Tec-City (GIFT City), which is the country’s maiden International Financial Services Centre (IFSC), has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Gujarat Technological University (GTU) to strengthen industry-academia collaboration in the fields of IFSC education, FinTech innovation, and research.
As part of the collaboration, both institutions will jointly develop specialised courses, training programmes, certification modules, and a dedicated Centre of Excellence focused on opportunities in GIFT IFSC and emerging trends in financial technology.
Mr. Sanjay Kaul, MD & Group CEO of GIFT City, said, “We are witnessing significant traction from leading financial and tech entities to set up their base in GIFT City. This collaboration with GTU will help in creating a future-ready talent pool that can contribute meaningfully to growth and to strengthening India’s position in the global financial and tech ecosystem.”
Dr. Rajul K. Gajjar, Vice-Chancellor of GTU, added, “By combining GTU’s academic expertise with GIFT City’s industry leadership, we aim to offer students and professionals unmatched exposure to global financial markets and technologies.”
The MoU signing ceremony was attended by senior representatives from both organisations, marking the beginning of a multi-faceted engagement that will integrate education, research, and industry linkages.
