Stray dog kills three-year-old in Chhota Udepur

Chhota Udepur: In yet another case of stray dog menace, a tragic incident occurred on Sunday in Bodeli taluka’s Dhanpur Khos settlement, where a stray dog mauled a three-year-old child to death. The child, who was visiting his maternal grandparents with his mother from Ratanpur village in Pavijetpur taluka, was playing in the house verandah when the attack happened.
According to locals, the dog suddenly approached and attacked the child, biting him by the neck and dragging him a long distance towards the nearby canal. The villagers later found the child’s body near the canal. The remains were sent for post-mortem examination, and the police have been informed about the incident.
The local sarpanch has formally reported the matter to the civic authorities, urging them to capture stray dogs in the area and ensure their vaccination and treatment to prevent such tragedies in the future.
