Gandhinagar: The Office of the Director of Agriculture has started control rooms for fertilizer complaints. These centers operate at state, district, and taluka levels. This move aims to help with fertilizer access and distribution. It also seeks to address farmer concerns quickly.
A helpline number, 079-23256080, is now active for state-level complaints. Farmers can use this number to report issues regarding fertilizer distribution.
Control rooms at district and taluka levels are also open. These centers handle submissions and provide information about fertilizer. Farmers can contact the numbers provided on a list from the Directorate of Agriculture. These helpline numbers will be operational daily from 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM.
Meanwhile Agriculture Minister Raghavji Patel commented on fertilizer distribution. Kharif crop sowing is 61 percent complete. This progress is due to good rainfall. The Government of India provides fertilizer with subsidies. This ensures farmers receive urea, DAP, and NPK fertilizers.
The state government distributes fertilizer amounts to districts based on supply plans. Agriculture Minister Raghavji Patel and government officials monitor this distribution. This oversight ensures farmers access fertilizer.
The Minister also stated that the government checks for fertilizer hoarding, black marketing, and high-price sales. Each district and taluka receives fertilizer according to its supply plan.
Control rooms are active at state, district, and taluka levels for farmer complaints. The General Administration Department has also appointed an Additional Collector level officer for this purpose.
