Ahmedabad: In yet another case within a week, the customs department at Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International Airport in the city seized 4.5 kg of marijuana from a passenger.
It is learnt that Air Intelligence Unit (AIU) officers intercepted a male passenger who had arrived in Ahmedabad from Bangkok on a Thai Lion Airways flight. During inspection, they found four black plastic packets containing a total of 4,543 grams of marijuana hidden in his trolley bag. “The passenger has been arrested and will be presented before the court,” a statement from the central agency noted.
Previously, the team had seized over 8 kg of hydroponic cannabis; this latest consignment is also suspected to be a high-potency variant of marijuana. DeshGujarat
