Stray Bull at Railway Platform; Dogs, Cow in Civil Hospital
August 01, 2025
Anand: With the rising cases of stray animal menace and dog bite incidents being widely reported across Gujarat day after day, the problem is now no longer limited to roads alone.
In one such incident, a stray bull wandered onto the platform of Anand railway station in the middle of the day, creating panic among passengers who were about to board the train waiting beside the platform. The bull’s entry deep inside the station premises raises serious questions about security arrangements, as the animal managed to reach this far inside without any intervention from station authorities or security staff.
In another case, patients and their relatives are living in constant fear of stray dogs roaming the campus of the Civil Hospital in Chhota Udepur. The dogs have been spotted in wards, laboratories, and OPD sections of the hospital. The hospital’s security is in question, as even a cow managed to enter the hospital campus. Locals claim there is no effective security in place, and question who would be held responsible if a stray dog bites someone or if a stray cow injures a patient or visitor. DeshGujarat
