AMC to host three-day Navratri Garba festival at Sabarmati Riverfront
July 31, 2025
Ahmedabad: The Amdavad Municipal Corporation (AMC) has announced plans to host a Navratri festival for the first time at the Sabarmati Riverfront. Named Rangtali Riverfront, the three-day celebration will take place from September 26 to 28 at the Riverfront Event Centre. The Sabarmati Riverfront Development Corporation Limited (SRDCL) has already released an advertisement inviting proposals to organise the event.
In a move towards modernising access, the AMC has said that ticketing and entry will be fully digital. Tickets will be available only through online platforms, and entry will be controlled by barcode scanning to enhance security and prevent unauthorised access.
The venue will be divided into four blocks — A, B, C, and D — and will include secure parking areas, food and beverage stalls, and extensive security measures, including CCTV coverage. Entry points will be strictly managed to ensure the safety of visitors.
Rangtali Riverfront will feature performances by well-known artists from Gujarat and aims to draw large crowds. Details such as ticket prices and food stall charges are expected to be announced soon. DeshGujarat
