ACB Gujarat Nabs LCB Cop in Bribery Case

Nadiad: The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) of Gujarat today apprehended a police constable posted at Kheda LCB in a bribe case involving ₹25,000.
According to officials, the accused, identified as Hiren Jayantibhai Patel (33), currently posted as a constable at Kheda-Nadiad LCB and residing at Nadiad Rural Police Line, had demanded the bribe from a complainant to avoid registering a false case of country liquor against him and his family members.
The complainant, unwilling to pay the bribe, approached the ACB. After conducting a thorough investigation and strategising, the ACB team executed a trap. During the operation, the accused constable was caught red-handed while accepting ₹25,000 from the complainant.
The ACB has registered an offence, and further investigation is underway. DeshGujarat
