Congress reshuffles its team in Gujarat Assembly

Ahmedabad: Following the resignation of Shaktisinh Gohil from the post of Gujarat Pradesh Congress Committee (GPCC) president, senior Congress leader Amit Chavda has been appointed as the new state party chief. Alongside this major organisational change, the Congress has also announced a reshuffle within its team in the Gujarat Legislative Assembly.

With Amit Chavda vacating the post to become GPCC chief, MLA Tushar Chaudhary has been appointed as Leader of the Congress Legislature Party (CLP) and took charge today. With this, new appointments to other key Assembly roles were also declared.

According to an official press note, Shailesh Parmar has been named as Deputy Leader of the Congress Legislature Party (CLP), while Dr. Kirit Patel has been appointed as Chief Whip.

Additionally, the following MLAs have been given new responsibilities: Vimal Chudasama and Imran Khedawala as Deputy Whips, and Dinesh Thakor as Treasurer.

Other appointments include Kantibhai Kharadi as Ministerial Coordinator (Whip), and Jignesh Mevani and Anant Patel as Spokespersons. DeshGujarat
