Ahmedabad police rescue 39 children in citywide special drive

Ahmedabad: In a focused two-day operation, Ahmedabad city police rescued 39 children who were found living in vulnerable situations across the city.
The drive was led by the Crime Branch, in collaboration with the Mahila Cell, Anti-Human Trafficking Unit (AHTU), and different zonal police stations. Officials noted that the operation’s main objective was to locate at-risk children and secure their immediate protection.
A senior official from the City Crime Branch explained, “This special operation aimed to trace missing and at-risk children, ensuring they receive protection and support for rehabilitation. Our commitment is to uphold the rights and safety of every child in Ahmedabad.”
It was further confirmed that arrangements are being made in partnership with child welfare agencies to ensure the rescued children receive proper care and rehabilitation.
