Holy month of Shravan begins in Gujarat for year 2025, Hindu Gujarati year 2081

Ahmedabad: The holy month of Shravan in Gujarat begins today and will end on Saturday, August 23.
Mondays are considered holy and auspicious during Shravan, and this year the Shravan month will have four Mondays falling on July 28, August 4, August 11, and August 18.
Shravan is a particularly important month for bhakti of Bhagwan Shiv. A huge number of devotees observe fasts and visit Shiva temples, especially on Mondays during this month. Somnath Mahadev in Prabhas Patan, due to its importance as a Jyotirlinga, becomes the capital of festivities of the auspicious Shravan month in Gujarat.
Shravan begins later in Gujarat compared to other North Indian states, as it is observed as per the Gujarati Hindu Vikram Samvat calendar in Gujarat.

Pavitra Ekadashi (Shravan Sud Agiyaras): 5th August, Tuesday
Nariyeli Poonam (Shravan Sud Chaudas): 8th August, Friday
Rakshabandhan (Shravan Poonam): 9th August, Saturday
Nag Panchami (Shravan Vad Pancham): 13th August, Wednesday
Randhan Chhath (Shravan Vad Chhath): 14th August, Thursday
Shitla Satam (Shravan Vad Satam): 15th August, Friday
Janmashtami (Shravan Vad Aatham): 16th August, Saturday
Nand Mahotsav (Shravan Vad Nom): 17th August, Sunday
Aja Ekadashi (Shravan Vad Agiyaras): 19th August, Tuesday
