Valsad halt of Gandhinagar – Mumbai Vande Bharat Express from July 27

Valsad: In a major boost to rail connectivity for South Gujarat, the Ministry of Railways last week approved the stoppage of the Vande Bharat Express (Train No. 20901/20902) running between Mumbai Central and Gandhinagar Capital at Valsad station. Today, the Divisional Railway Manager, Mumbai Central, announced that the halt will begin from Sunday, July 27.

As per the official circular, Western Railway’s Mumbai Division will host a flag-off ceremony for the inaugural halt of the Vande Bharat Express at Valsad station on Sunday, July 27, 2025, at 5:50 PM. Dhaval Patel, the Lok Sabha MP from the district, will be presiding over the occasion. The ceremony will mark a new chapter in regional connectivity for Valsad, providing faster access to key cities like Ahmedabad, Surat, and Mumbai.

Notably, with this, Valsad becomes the 19th city in Gujarat to have connectivity with the semi-high-speed train. Other cities are Gandhinagar, Ahmedabad, Anand, Vadodara, Surat, Vapi, Palanpur, Mehsana, Sanand, Viramgam, Surendranagar, Wankaner, Rajkot, Jamnagar, Dwarka, Okha, Junagadh, and Veraval. DeshGujarat
