Rajkot Airport announces parking charges, pick-up/drop lane access time
July 22, 2025
Rajkot: In a move aimed at ending confusion and addressing long-standing complaints over high parking charges, Rajkot International Airport has put up an official tariff board specifying parking rates for different types of vehicles. The new system also offers 12 minutes of free pick-up and drop time for private vehicles.
As per the displayed rates, two-wheelers will pay ₹10 for up to 30 minutes and ₹15 for parking between 30 minutes and 120 minutes. Private cars and SUVs (up to seven seats) will be charged ₹30 for 30 minutes and ₹40 for up to two hours. Commercial cars not authorized by the Airports Authority of India (AAI) will be charged ₹40 for 30 minutes and ₹90 for up to two hours.
For larger vehicles, SUVs and minibuses with more than seven seats will be charged ₹60 for 30 minutes and ₹80 for up to two hours. Coaches, buses, and trucks will pay ₹170 and ₹250, respectively, for the same time slots. Commercial cars authorized by AAI will be charged ₹20 for 30 minutes and ₹35 for up to two hours.
The board also details additional rules: parking beyond two hours will attract incremental charges—₹5 per hour for two-wheelers and ₹10 per hour for four-wheelers. An entry slip is mandatory for all vehicles; failure to produce an entry slip will attract a fine of ₹500. Importantly, if you park your vehicle in a no-parking zone, you will be charged a fine of ₹500.
Additionally, the Airport Authority has announced that parking charges will now be collected digitally through scanners, similar to the system at Ahmedabad Airport, ending daily disputes over manual fee collection.
With the installation of the official rate chart and the planned introduction of digital scanning for payment, the airport aims to bring more transparency and convenience for passengers and drivers alike. DeshGujarat
