Shivraj Singh Chouhan’s Convoy in Gujarat Makes U-Turn After Realizing Wife Left Behind

Junagadh – In a moment that brought unexpected levity to an otherwise official visit, Union Agriculture Minister and former Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan briefly forgot his wife, Sadhana Singh, during a hectic tour of Gujarat.

The minister was wrapping up a day of religious and official engagements when the incident occurred. After addressing a program at the Peanut Research Center in Junagadh — which included interactions with farmers and women under the ‘Lakhpati Didi’ scheme — Chouhan left the venue in a motorcade of 22 vehicles en route to Rajkot airport.

However, about a kilometer into the journey, he realized something was amiss — his wife wasn’t in the convoy.

The motorcade promptly turned around and headed back to the venue, where Sadhana Singh was patiently waiting in the lounge, unaware she had been unintentionally left behind. The reunion was swift, and the convoy resumed its journey, this time with the couple together.

The light-hearted mishap drew smiles and chuckles among onlookers, momentarily cutting through the formal tone of the day.

Earlier in the day, Chouhan had visited Somnath Jyotirlinga and Gir lions sighting. Speaking on stage at the Peanut Research Center, he was seen frequently checking his watch, clearly concerned about making his 8:00 PM flight from Rajkot. “The road to Rajkot is bad. Next time, I’ll come at leisure,” he remarked from the podium, before cutting short his speech and hurrying off.

Sadhana Singh, who had returned from visiting Girnar, had been waiting in the lounge when the oversight occurred.

Thankfully, the only casualty of the incident was a brief delay — and perhaps a bit of playful teasing at home. DeshGujarat
