Ahmedabad: Airport authorities detained a man on Friday who arrived from Dubai after finding discrepancies in his date of birth during passport verification.
The passenger, named Ram Jatan Shri Ram from Sant Kabir Nagar, Uttar Pradesh, landed at Ahmedabad airport on an IndiGo flight from Dubai. During routine checks, officials found inconsistencies in his passport and documents, prompting further inquiry.
According to police, the accused had manipulated official documents to secure employment through an agent named Prabhushree Vastav. With the help of a cyber café, he allegedly listed his date of birth as January 1, 1991, on his Aadhaar card, voter ID, and PAN card.
However, when officials examined the original Aadhaar card stored on his mobile phone, it showed a different date of birth: January 1, 1980. Meanwhile, his voter ID card listed it as January 1, 1981.
The investigation revealed that the man had fraudulently obtained a passport based on these forged documents. Airport police have detained him for questioning and further legal action is underway. DeshGujarat
