Gujarat Govt to give tablets and printers to 1,200 District Judges

Gandhinagar: With an aim to make the judicial system smoother, more efficient, and technology-driven, the Gujarat Government will provide tablets and printers worth up to ₹1 lakh to 1,200 District Judiciary Judges across the state, an official statement said today.
As per the government decision, approximately 1,200 judges will each receive a tablet worth ₹80,000 and a printer worth ₹20,000. For this initiative, a budgetary provision of ₹15 crore has been approved for the financial year 2025–26.
The move aims to equip district judges with advanced technological tools for the effective implementation of new criminal laws, namely Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita (BNSS), and Bharatiya Sakshya Adhiniyam.
