12 hours rainfall data from Gujarat: Junagadh, Jamnagar, Dwarka get over 2 inches

Gandhinagar: The Saurashtra-Kutch region in Gujarat experienced significant rainfall today, with Junagadh, Jamnagar, Dwarka, and Porbandar receiving over two inches of rain.
Porbandar’s Ranavav taluka recorded the highest downpour at 3.03 inches (77 mm) between 6 AM and 6 PM, according to data from the State Emergency Operation Center.
In Junagadh district, Manavadar received 2.48 inches, while both Junagadh and Junagadh City recorded 2.36 inches each. Kalavad in Jamnagar followed with 2.32 inches, and Dwarka taluka registered 2.13 inches. Other notable talukas include Mundra in Kachchh (1.97 inches) and Khambhalia in Devbhumi Dwarka (1.81 inches).
In the 12 hours since 6 AM, at least 22 talukas recorded more than 1 inch of rainfall, mostly in coastal and western districts. Meanwhile, central and eastern Gujarat, including districts like Ahmedabad, Dahod, and Kheda, received less than half an inch. In total, 132 talukas received rainfall till 6 PM, but only 47 recorded more than 10 mm, while the rest saw very light drizzle.
The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a very heavy rain alert for Sabarkantha, Aravalli, Navsari, Valsad, and the union territories of Daman and Dadra & Nagar Haveli. The alert also includes Porbandar, Junagadh, and Dwarka in the Saurashtra-Kutch region, valid till tomorrow morning. DeshGujarat
