Ahmedabad: In a significant security move during the Rath Yatra, Ahmedabad Police shot down an unauthorized drone using an anti-drone killer gun. The drone was being flown without official permission.
The anti-drone gun used has a range of up to two kilometers and is part of the police’s enhanced security measures. Ahmedabad Police has implemented tight surveillance and security arrangements across the city to prevent any untoward incidents during the religious procession.
Notably, at the Police Commissioner’s office, a high-tech control room has been set up, where officials are keeping a close watch on the Rath Yatra through 48 monitoring screens. To manage the crowd and ensure safety, the police are using 25 AI-powered drone cameras to monitor the procession in real time. DeshGujarat
