BAPS Saints Meet Mormon Christian Leaders in Salt Lake City, Utah, USA

Utah: On behalf of Mahant Swami Maharaj, Brahmaviharidas Swami, Vivekamurtidas Swami, Shukmunidas Swami, and others met with prominent members of the First Presidency of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints — Dallin H. Oaks and Henry B. Eyring. The saints also visited various church locations, including Deseret Industries on Welfare Square and the Conference Center on historic Temple Square, an official press release said.

The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, widely known as the Mormon Church, has approximately 17 million members in 30,000 congregations across 160 countries.

The First Presidency extended a warm welcome to the BAPS saints. The meeting featured inspiring discussions on the importance of peace, harmony, and unity in the world. Also present were Elder David A. Bednar of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles; Elder Patrick Kearon; Elder Anthony D. Perkins, President of the Middle East/Africa North Area; and Elder Matthew S. Holland, Executive Director of the Church Communications Department.

Church representatives were particularly impressed to learn about the BAPS Hindu Mandir in Abu Dhabi, which has become a remarkable example of global harmony and coexistence among different religions and cultures. DeshGujarat
