IMD issues red alert in some districts of Gujarat for extremely heavy rains | Weather Forecast | मौसम | હવામાન

Surat: With the official start of the monsoon this week, Gujarat has been battered with incessant heavy rains, and the phenomenon is likely to continue in some districts for the next 24 hours. According to the latest weather forecast by the IMD, extremely heavy rainfall is likely in a few districts of South Gujarat till Friday morning, and a red alert has been issued for these districts. During the next 7 days, as per the forecast, all districts are likely to receive rain, while some may experience heavy to very heavy rainfall.
Today, a red alert has been sounded in Dang, Navsari, Valsad, and Daman & Dadra Nagar Haveli as heavy to very heavy rains at a few places with isolated extremely heavy falls are very likely in these areas. Meanwhile, Dahod, Mahisagar, Bharuch, Surat, and Tapi have been placed on orange alert with warnings of heavy to very heavy rains.
Additionally, heavy rains are very likely at isolated places in the districts of Gandhinagar, Aravalli, Kheda, Ahmedabad, Anand, Panchmahal, Vadodara, Chhota Udepur, Narmada, Amreli, Bhavnagar, Gir Somnath, Botad, and Diu, and a yellow warning is in place in these areas for the next 24 hours ending at 8:30 AM on June 20.
On June 20, only a yellow warning has been issued in some districts that may receive heavy rains. These places include Bharuch, Surat, Dang, Navsari, Valsad, Tapi, Daman, and Dadra Nagar Haveli.
Similarly, on June 21, heavy rains are very likely at isolated places in Banaskantha, Sabarkantha, Dang, Navsari, Valsad, and Daman & Dadra Nagar Haveli.
On June 22, rain intensity will rise again, with heavy to very heavy rain very likely at isolated places in Sabarkantha and Aravalli. Additionally, heavy rains are very likely in Patan, Mehsana, Gandhinagar, Aravalli, Kheda, Ahmedabad, Anand, Panchmahal, Dahod, Mahisagar, Dang, Navsari, Valsad, Daman, Dadra Nagar Haveli, Surendranagar, Jamnagar, Morbi, and Kutch, with yellow alerts issued for these areas.
On June 23, an orange alert is in place for Sabarkantha, as it may receive very heavy rains, while Banaskantha, Patan, Mehsana, Aravalli, Navsari, Valsad, Daman, Dadra Nagar Haveli, Jamnagar, Dwarka, and Kutch are under a yellow alert.
On June 24, heavy rains are very likely at isolated places in the Gujarat region districts of Banaskantha, Patan, Mehsana, Sabarkantha, Navsari, Valsad, Daman, and Dadra Nagar Haveli, and in the Saurashtra-Kutch region, namely Kutch, with yellow alerts in place.
On June 25, heavy rains are very likely at isolated places in the Gujarat region districts of Navsari, Valsad, Daman, and Dadra Nagar Haveli, and in Saurashtra-Kutch districts including Porbandar, Junagadh, Dwarka, Gir Somnath, and Diu. DeshGujarat
