PM Modi Likely to Visit Ahmedabad Plane Crash Site

Ahmedabad: Prime Minister Narendra Modi is likely to visit Ahmedabad on Friday morning around 8 a.m. in the wake of the tragic crash of Air India Flight AI-171.

His visit is expected to include a review of relief measures, meetings with officials, and possible interaction with survivors and affected families at the hospital.

This comes after the visit of Union Home Minister Amit Shah and Union Civil Aviation Minister Ram Mohan Naidu Kinjarapu, who both visited the crash site to review rescue and relief operations on Thursday. They later met injured individuals at the Civil Hospital campus.

Notably, British High Commission officials also visited the crash site, as over 50 British nationals were on board the ill-fated flight.

Air India Flight AI-171, en route from Ahmedabad to London Gatwick, crashed on Thursday afternoon shortly after takeoff. The Boeing 787-8 aircraft was carrying 242 passengers and crew members, including 169 Indian nationals, 53 British nationals, one Canadian, and seven Portuguese nationals.

Tragically, all passengers except one are feared dead, including former Chief Minister of Gujarat, Vijay Rupani. DeshGujarat
