2.48 lakh candidates to appear in LRD exam; GSRTC to run extra buses

Gandhinagar: The Gujarat State Road Transport Corporation (GSRTC) will be running around 500 extra buses for the Lokrakshak Cadre (LRD) examination scheduled on June 15.

According to an official statement, the Gujarat Police Recruitment Board has scheduled the written examination for the Lokrakshak Cadre (LRD) on June 15, 2025, from 9:30 AM to 12:30 PM. The exam will be conducted at seven centers across the state—Ahmedabad, Vadodara, Surat, Rajkot, Gandhinagar, Anand, and Bhavnagar. As per the official release, an estimated 2.48 lakh candidates from various districts are expected to appear for the exam.

The release further mentions that GSRTC will operate additional buses as needed to transport candidates from their nearest hometown depot to the nearest exam center depot between June 14 and 15, 2025. Considering the large number of candidates, the Corporation will also offer extra bus services and advance online ticket booking facilities.

During this period, candidates can avail themselves of the special bus services either from the Corporation’s depots or through its website www.gsrtc.in, via ticket counters or advance online booking.
