June 10, 2025
Gandhinagar: As the Narendra Modi-led central government completes 11 years in office, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is commemorating the occasion with statewide celebrations. A press conference was held at the Gujarat BJP headquarters, ‘Shree Kamalam’, where Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel and Gujarat BJP President and Union Minister C.R. Patil addressed the media.
Both leaders outlined the key achievements and developmental milestones accomplished under the Modi government over the past 11 years. They highlighted India’s successful G20 presidency, the growth in defence exports, and the fight against Pakistan-sponsored terrorism through surgical strikes, air strikes, and Operation Sindoor, among other achievements.
Addressing the media, State BJP Chief C.R. Patil said, ” During Operation Sindoor, nine terror launch pads beyond the LOC were targeted and destroyed. Many terrorists were killed, sending a strong message to Pakistan and the world that India will not tolerate any provocation. The highlight of this operation was the precise and strong use of indigenous weapons systems, which the world witnessed. As a result, some countries are uneasy seeing India emerge as a new player and manufacturer in the global weapons market.”
Patil also stated that “India has given vaccines for free to 48 countries. The country that once stretched its hand to receive now extends its hand to give. This transformation is due to the PM Modi-led government.”
Patil further stated that, for women’s empowerment, the Modi government ensured 33% reservation for women in Parliament and State Assemblies by passing the Nari Shakti Vandan Adhiniyam. Maternity leave was increased from 12 weeks to 26 weeks, and 10 crore gas connections have been provided free of cost.
CM Bhupendra Patel began his address saying, “On the completion of eleven glorious years of leadership by the global leader and successful Prime Minister Narendra Modi, I extend heartfelt congratulations on behalf of Gujarat and its people. These eleven years have become a ‘Decade of Development’ for the 1.4 billion citizens of India. Through inclusive, continuous, and progressive development, the common people of the country have grown in their trust toward the government.”
The Chief Minister added, “PM Modi has also gifted the country’s first Railway and Transport University, Gati Shakti Vishwavidyalaya (GSV), for Gujarat’s holistic development. Under the visionary leadership of respected PM Modi, we are also overcoming the challenges of global warming and climate change through renewable energy and environmentally friendly development.”
He also noted that India’s economy has surged from the 11th to the 4th largest in the world during Modi’s tenure. Citing key national security initiatives such as the surgical strikes, air strikes, and Operation Sindoor, CM Patel reiterated that Gujarat continues to emerge as a role model for development under PM Modi’s guidance.
