June 10, 2025
Ahmedabad: Teams of the Amdavad Municipal Corporation (AMC) today demolished two illegally constructed houses in the Juhapura area of the city. The houses belonged to Aliraza Nazir Muhammad Vora and Ahmedbhai Bapubhai Kureshi alias Sarfaraz Kitli. Both houses—ground plus first floor structures—were residential in nature and were razed using JCB machines.
Nazir Vora’s house measured 368 square meters and was located near Sonal Char Rasta, while Sarfaraz Kitli’s house, measuring around 160 square meters, was located at Ehsan Park near Sonal Char Rasta. Notices were served to both as per the rules, and in the case of Nazir Vora, an oral order from the Gujarat High Court also supported the demolition.
The demolition was carried out under tight police security by the Estate Department team of AMC’s South-West Zone. It is noteworthy that Nazir Vora is reportedly involved in more than 20 criminal cases registered at various police stations, including Vejalpur and Sarkhej. DeshGujarat
