IPL 2025 Final and Qualifier 2 matches to be played at Narendra Modi Stadium Ahmedabad

Ahmedabad: The BCCI has officially announced that the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad will host both Qualifier 2 and the final of IPL 2025, scheduled for June 1 and June 3, respectively. Meanwhile, the first Qualifier will take place in Mullanpur on May 29, followed by the Eliminator on May 30.

According to an official IPL statement, “The new venues for the Playoffs were decided by the IPL Governing Council keeping in mind the weather conditions and other parameters.”

The tournament, which experienced a mid-season halt, resumed on May 17. The remaining 17 matches are now being played across six cities: Mumbai, Lucknow, Ahmedabad, Delhi, Jaipur, and Mullanpur.

Initially, Hyderabad and Kolkata were selected to host all four playoff matches. However, changes were made following the suspension.

This marks only the second instance in IPL history where the league has faced a mid-season interruption. The first occurred in 2021 due to a COVID-19 outbreak, which led to the remainder of the tournament being shifted to the UAE. DeshGujarat
