Blackout declared in Kutch, Patan, Jamnagar, Devbhumi Dwarka, Banaskantha

Kutch: In a blatant violation of the ceasefire announced this afternoon, Pakistan has once again launched drone attacks across India’s border districts, including Kutch in Gujarat. Multiple drones sent by Pakistan have been intercepted and shot down by Indian defence forces, and a blackout has been imposed once again in the districts of Kutch, Patan, Jamnagar, Banaskantha and Devbhumi Dwarka.

Kutch Collector confirmed the blackout implementation in a tweet saying “Blackout is declared in the entire Kutch district with immediate effect. All citizens are requested to strictly follow it.”

The Patan Collector stated: “As a precautionary measure, instructions have been issued to implement an immediate blackout in all 71 villages of the border taluka of Santalpur in Patan district, effective today. All citizens are requested to comply with the instructions issued by the administrative authorities.”

The Banaskantha District Collector’s office announced: “As a precautionary measure, an immediate blackout has been instructed in the 24 border villages of Banaskantha district. All citizens are requested to stay away from rumours and follow the instructions issued by the administrative authorities.”

“As a precautionary measure, a blackout has been instructed for today in all villages of Suigam and Vav talukas of Banaskantha district,” said another tweet.

Jamnagar collector in the tweet said, “In view of the prevailing war situation, a blackout is declared in Jamnagar city and the entire district from 11:00 PM to 6:00 AM tomorrow. Everyone is appealed to avoid the use of light emitting devices.”

“A blackout will be implemented at all locations in the district. Citizens are instructed to voluntarily participate, keep industrial and commercial activities closed, avoid unnecessary movement, and remain vigilant. Starting from sunset in the evening, during the blackout, all household lights should be turned off, and care should be taken to ensure that no light escapes outside.” said Collector Devbhumi Dwarka in a tweet.
