Mehsana Civil Hospital adopts QR code system to facilitate patient registration
May 06, 2025
Mehsana: In this digital era, the Civil Hospital in the city is embracing modern technology to bring relief to patients. The hospital has introduced a QR code system for patient registration, eliminating the need for patients to stand in long queues at the registration counter. Now, patients can simply scan a QR code on their mobile phones to register from anywhere, with just a tap of a finger.
The hospital sees approximately 1,000 to 2,000 patients daily from across the district for various treatments. For all of them, the first step is to register their case before proceeding to the OPD and pharmacy—each requiring separate queues, often causing considerable inconvenience. To resolve this, the hospital implemented the QR code registration method a month ago.
Patients can now register their case from home or anywhere else by scanning the QR code via their mobile phones. To use this facility, patients must download the Abha application.
According to Vishal Chaudhary, AHA of Mehsana Civil Hospital, over the past ten days, more than 300 patients have successfully used the QR code system to receive treatment. DeshGujarat
