April 12, 2025
Ahmedabad: The Ahmedabad Urban Development Authority (AUDA) has invited Expressions of Interest (EoI) from consulting firms for Independent Engineer services for the six-laning of Sardar Patel Ring Road. The project, to be executed under the Hybrid Annuity Mode (HAM), involves two packages covering a total stretch of 76.254 km with a combined estimated cost of ₹1,741 crore.
AUDA plans to widen the existing four-lane carriageway to six lanes along with service roads. The expansion will be carried out in two packages. Package 1, with an estimated cost of ₹848 crore, covers a 37-km stretch in the eastern area, while Package 2, worth ₹893 crore, is for a 39-km stretch in the western area.
The project will be executed with the help of both AUDA’s engineers and private engineering consultants. Only private consulting firms with over 10 years of experience will be considered. A survey will be conducted for road widening, underpasses, and overbridges to ensure even the smallest issues in the project are identified and addressed. DeshGujarat
