BJP parliamentary board meeting today to decide office-bearers of recently won local bodies

Gandhinagar: To select the office bearers for 65 municipalities, Junagadh Municipal Corporation, and three taluka panchayats (Gandhinagar, Kathlal, Kapadvanj), the state BJP’s Parliamentary Board is meeting today here. The selection of more than 220 office bearers, including mayors, deputy mayors, standing committee chairmen, and ruling party leaders, will be finalized in the meeting. It is learned from BJP sources that the names will likely be announced by Tuesday evening, and the new office bearers will be elected in the general board meetings of each local body by Wednesday or Thursday, and will assume charge.
The meeting of the State Parliamentary Board will be held at the Chief Minister’s residence. The decision for each local self-government body will be made within 12 hours, from 9 am to 9 pm. In this meeting, chaired by State BJP President C.R. Patil and attended by Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel, State Organization General Secretary Ratnakar, and other members of the Parliamentary Board, the BJP had prepared a list of elected representatives who could handle the responsibilities of mayors and presidents, starting from the district level.
