PM Modi performs darshan & pooja at Somnath Mandir in Prabhas Patan

Somnath: Prime Minister Narendrabhai Modi today performed darshan and pooja at Somnath Mandir in Prabhas Patan on the second day of his ongoing Gujarat visit.

PM Modi is the chairman of Shri Somnath Trust, which was initiated by Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, Kanaiyalal Munshi, Jam Saheb, and others. The Prime Minister is on a three-day visit to the Saurashtra region of Gujarat. Earlier this morning, he visited Vantara Animal Rescue and Rehabilitation Centre, developed by Anant Ambani, son of Mukesh Ambani, the chairman of Reliance Industries Ltd., before arriving at Somnath via helicopter at around 4 PM. At the Somnath temple, he offered prayers, performed aarti, and conducted rituals as per traditional scriptures for over 10 minutes. PM Modi also paid floral tribute to the statue of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel installed in the temple premises.

After concluding his visit to Somnath, PM Modi will be in Sasan Gir today, where he will take a night halt, tour the Gir Safari on Monday, and visit Rajkot before departing for Delhi. DeshGujarat
