Eight more illegal immigrants of Gujarat origin deported by the US reach Ahmedabad

Ahmedabad: Eight more Gujaratis, deported from the US for illegal stay, arrived at Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International (SVPI) Airport in the city this morning. These 8 individuals were among over 116 deportees on the second flight from the US that landed in Amritsar on Saturday evening.
The Gujaratis, who traveled on an IndiGo flight from Amritsar, reached Ahmedabad at around 10:50 am. After completing necessary procedures at the airport, all of them are being taken to their hometown under police security. The police are now escorting six people, including a family with a child, to their home in Mehsana, while two others from the Kalol area of Gandhinagar district are being taken there.
The Gujarati deportees include Dhaval Kiritkumar Luhar, Rudra Dhaval Luhar, Mihit Thakor, Dhirajkumar Kanu Patel, Kenish Mahesh Chaudhary, Aarohi Deepakpuri Goswami, Deepakpuri Baldev Goswami, and Pooja Deepakpuri Goswami.
Earlier, on February 6th, 33 Gujarati immigrants, mostly from North Gujarat, arrived on the first deportation flight. In the third phase, an American plane carrying 157 Indians is scheduled to arrive at Amritsar airport at 10 pm on Sunday, February 16. DeshGujarat
