Prisoner Escapes from Sabarmati Central Jail in Ahmedabad

Ahmedabad: Manoj Ji Thakor, a criminal serving a life sentence for the murder of a man in Harij, North Gujarat, managed to escape from Sabarmati Central Jail in Ahmedabad. According to sources, Thakor was reportedly given permission to visit a clinic located within the open jail section of Sabarmati Central Jail. The clinic, which serves inmates with health-related concerns, provided the perfect opportunity for Thakor to execute his escape plan. Authorities confirmed that Thakur managed to flee from the clinic, and despite initial efforts to locate him, he remains on the run. Thakor, who was sentenced to life imprisonment for his involvement in a murder case in Harij, had been serving his sentence in the high-security Sabarmati jail.
