Tata EV catches fire in Ankleshwar; another CNG car erupts in Surat

Ankleshwar: An electric car erupted in flames near Ankleshwar GIDC on Tuesday evening. The incident occurred when the car owner was driving near Ganesh Park in Ankleshwar GIDC. Suddenly, smoke started emanating from the Tata EV, prompting the passengers to escape before the car, worth lakhs, burst into flames in front of their eyes. The fire department reached the location and doused the fire, which left the entire car gutted.
In another incident, a car caught fire in Surat near Maheshwari School on Surat-Dumas Road. A Hyundai Santro running on CNG (Compressed Natural Gas) reportedly caught fire due to a short circuit in the engine. In this case as well, the driver escaped in time, avoiding any casualties.
