Gujarat ATS picks up 3 suspects from Godhra for questioning
December 19, 2024
Panchmahal: The Gujarat Anti-Terror Squad (ATS), along with the local police, conducted a search operation in the western part of Godhra town on Wednesday and picked up three suspects.
The nabbed individuals were taken to the Godhra SP office for questioning, where it was revealed that they had recently returned from Pakistan, where they had spent 25 days. After about five hours of questioning, the three suspects—identified as Miyas Usmani, Abdul Usmani, and Mohammad Hanif—were transferred to Ahmedabad for further investigation.
The two brothers, Abdul Usmani and Miyas Usmani, traveled to Pakistan in 2023 to visit their relatives. They spent 25 days there, and India’s intelligence agencies grew suspicious about their prolonged stay.
It is noteworthy that the Gujarat ATS had previously questioned the Usmani brothers. They have now been brought to Ahmedabad for additional questioning, and further revelations are expected. Additionally, it has been learned that the ATS has seized the passports of these three suspects. DeshGujarat
