Mehsana: Dipak Patel, the general secretary of the BJP’s Unjha town unit in Mehsana district, has been removed from his position after defying the party’s directive by filing his nomination for the Unjha Agriculture Produce Market Committee (APMC) elections.
The decision to remove Patel was made by Girish Rajgor, the BJP district president for Mehsana, who stated that Patel’s actions violated the party’s mandate. Rajgor explained that Patel continued his candidature against the party’s chosen representatives, showing disregard for the directive. As a result, his removal was implemented with immediate effect.
The voting for the Unjha APMC elections, known as the largest wholesale cumin market globally, is scheduled for Monday. DeshGujarat
