Dumper owner held after unlicensed driver struck 13-year-old student in Surat

Surat: The local police have arrested the owner of a dumper truck after a 13-year-old student, Vedant, was seriously injured in an accident when a speeding dumper hit him while he was cycling to tuition on Gaurav Path in the Pal area of the city.
The incident occurred on Saturday near Apex Hospital Circle when the dumper driver, Kamlesh Fata Hatila, ran a red light and struck the student. Following the accident, the Pal police registered a case and arrested Hatila, who was found to be driving without a valid license.
During the investigation, it was revealed that the dumper’s owner, Rajesh Sardar Od, had knowingly allowed Hatila to drive the vehicle despite his lack of a license. Based on this information, the police registered a case against Od and subsequently arrested him. DeshGujarat
