Farm owner detained after lion dies of electrocution in Bhavnagar village

Bhavnagar: A farm owner was detained in Bordi village after a lion was electrocuted upon coming into contact with an electric fence installed around his farm.
The lion, estimated to be between 3 and 5 years old, was found by staff from the Mahuva wildlife forest range. Teams from the Forest Department, Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL), and Paschim Gujarat Vij Company Limited (PGVCL) investigated the area to determine the cause of death. The investigation revealed that the lion was electrocuted by an illegal electric line running through the farm of Kalpeshbhai Nakum in Bordi village.
