Banaskantha: Gujarat Assembly Speaker and Banas Dairy Chairman Shankarbhai Chaudhary today inaugurated the Banas Soil Testing Laboratory (BSTL) at Tharad and the Banas Save Soil Farmer Producer Company (BSSFPC). He also inaugurated virtually the Banas Biofertilizer Research and Development Laboratory at Khimana. A large number of local farmers were present for this inauguration. The country’s only Soil Health Laboratory was launched in Tharad and will play a major role in revitalizing Banas soil in the coming years.

On this occasion, Chairman Shankarbhai Chaudhary stated, “This is a new gift for Banas, received as a laboratory on the birthday of Pujya Sadguru. Sadhguru has been working for the betterment of others for quite some time now. It is our duty to save the soil, for which Banas Dairy has teamed up with the Isha Foundation to bring the soil to life at this lab. From Panchatatva, we receive new energy, and soil is one of them.”

Chairman Shankarbhai Chaudhary further mentioned that the Prime Minister has been advocating for soil health and bio-fertilizers since he was the Chief Minister. A biofertilizer developed by Anand Agricultural University is a result of this effort. Today, liquid biofertilizer manufacturing has commenced at Khimana in our district, which will free us from chemical fertilizers. Leaves of trees and animal excrement nourish our earth. If the soil is preserved, future life will be prosperous. We must work together to save soil with the pledge of “Lab to Land.”

Swami Neesarga of the Isha Foundation stated that the soil testing laboratory will play an important role in revitalizing the soil. Sadhguru always emphasizes that soil is alive and that the entire earth is composed of it. This laboratory will be beneficial to the farmers of this area. Sadhguru himself is also a farmer and cultivates the land. He has been working for the upliftment of farmers for more than 30 years. Mahatma Gandhi and Amul are the identity of Gujarat, which has given new direction to the country through the white revolution. Let us all work together to rejuvenate the soil.
