Kandla: The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) today nabbed the head constable of the Customs department at the Kandla-based Special Economic Zone for bribery.

According to the ACB, the accused, Ishak Abdulkarim Sama, head constable of the Customs department, sought a Rs. 3,000 bribe from a labor management firm to allow the entry of laborers through the gate of the Kandla Special Economic Zone (SEZ).

As the labor management firm owner was unwilling to pay the bribe, he contacted the ACB’s Gandhidham office. Following this, a trap was arranged, and Ishak was caught accepting the Rs. 3,000 bribe.  DeshGujarat
